OUR STORY
Hello!
I’m Carla, the founder.
If you’re here, it’s probably because you’re wondering what ‘Pole Factory’ is really all about.
It all began in late 2020, when I started seriously practicing pole
dance and therefore searching for products that were high-quality,
aesthetic, original, and adapted to my practice. I always saw the same
items and nothing really matched what I wanted or what I sometimes saw
on some top pole dancers.
I then spent hours (many hours) searching through dozens (hundreds)
of websites and testing grips, outfits, equipment and accessories until I
managed to find those rare gems.
Meanwhile, I became professional: I started teaching classes,
entering some competitions, and posting videos on social media. Very
quickly, I received numerous questions about my pole, my outfit, or the
grip I was using, and I realized that many products deserved more
visibility and easier access.

And
that’s when the idea of Pole Factory came to me! A site that could both
promote high-quality brands, facilitate access to certain foreign
products by grouping them all on the same platform, and provide a
solution to the needs of pole dancers in search of novelty.
But, for me, Pole Factory is also a bit more than that.
Having graduated with a master’s degree
in Philosophy and written my thesis on the political philosophy of
fashion, I was able to see how essential aesthetics are: I sincerely
believe that the way we dress (or undress) can be a fundamental point in
the construction of an identity and in our relationship with ourselves,
others, and the world. Clothing (just like pole dancing), by juggling
with self-presentation, is a way to convey messages, play with
boundaries, challenge the relationship between body and mind, show what
cannot be said, choose how to reveal oneself to the world.
Pole Factory, by blending the two, is
then my way of offering artists a tool for expression, a means of giving
style to an intention, of translating an idea into an image by
transforming a product – different in quality, design, origin, or
purpose – into vocabulary.
☽ Carla.
