Why use a pole dance grip?

When pole dancing, your hands can slip due to sweat or because your skin doesn’t grip the pole enough. Pole dance grip products solve these issues by improving adhesion and providing greater safety. They help reduce muscle fatigue by limiting the effort needed to hold positions, and they support technical progress. A grip is therefore useful both for beginners gaining confidence and for advanced pole dancers who want to perform sequences without losing stability.

Types of grips available at Pole Factory

Pole dance grips enhance the contact between your skin and the pole, reducing sweat and limiting slipping.

There are two main categories:

Grips are not always used in the same way. Some products can be applied all over the body, including the hands, to improve grip. Others are designed for specific areas such as the back of the knees, elbows, or thighs, where extra support is needed. Finally, certain grips can also be applied directly to the pole itself, for example, Sticky Mania or ITAC2, to enhance the equipment’s grip.

How to choose the right grip for your needs

The right grip depends on your skin type and training conditions:

  • Dry or very dry skin: Start with a moisturizing product such as Skin Booster to restore balance. Then apply a sticky grip like ITAC2, Polipole Grip, Sticky Mania, or Liquid Rosin by Viscosi.
  • Moist/sweaty skin: Use a drying grip first, such as Polipole Dry, Envirogrip, or Lupit G3 powder. You can then layer a sticky grip on top (such as Polipole Grip, Sticky Mania, ITAC2) for maximum adhesion.

For best results, always clean your pole with Pole Cleaner and a microfiber cloth before training.
